Did anyone ever have to change their timing chain; if so let me know.
I want to know how could you tell when your T-chain is going bad and why would it go bad.

Ive had 2 go bad in other car's ive owned in the past.My first one was my 69 Roadrunner.I tried starting it one mornning and it backfired and it just wouldnt start. The other car was my old's 442.It started to run crappy on the way home.Had a friend over and telling him about how bad it was running and we went outside to start it,then it just shut down and wouldnt start again. When the timing chain and sproket's go you can hear a different sound in the motor when cranking it over.Ive read on clubgp that some are at 200,000 and still on the factory timing chain.Atleast we dont have timing belts :naughty:

Had one "jump time" on a 69' Roadrunner also. Alot easier to work on then the new ones.

But dumb me back then (1975) ,I also killed the battery and had a friend on post pull me back to north FT and I popped the clutch and heard a rattle OPPS.Pulled it apart and I also bent 6 push rods.Lucky that's all I did

I was running a guy on Woodard (Michigan). Pulled thrid, car didn't like it. Made a fuuny sound, and started missing. At one in the morning, I was on a side street trying to figure out. Pulled #1 plug, and cap. Nothing lined up. Said some nice words. Walked 5 miles home. Towed car home the next day.
Don't you just love cars.
