hey guys, please dont jump on me for owning a camaro. I'm not here to start a problem. I just have a couple questions. I am looking into buying a new car as a nice daily driver. I am looking at a 97 Eclipse GS. I was wondering how good gas mileage is on this model? I know my car downs gas like mad, and it kills my wallet driving 30 miles to work everyday. And really any other imput on the car would help too, as far as features i should look into..
thanks guys,
thanks guys,

Don't get hasty now. Those fuel ratings are BS in my opinion. I get about 23 mpg average in my 99 GS, and i drive mostly highway. I replaced spark plugs and wires, and air filter and didn't get any improvement. I've heard of ppl driving gst's and gsx's and getting better mileage than me, which really pisses me off cuz they are way ahead in the performance category. Hope this helps.

I guess this is one of those times I can be proud. My '90 Eclipse with the 1.8 gets about 33 Hwy, 29 City. :D
