Power Loss

A few months ago (when I was driving the car) I remember that right after I started up the car and tried to drive, I'd hit the gas and then lose all power. It wouldnt stall or anything, I just hit the gas and start moving forward then the loss of power would throw me forward in my seat, then the power came back. Any ideas?

Did it clear up after dirving it for a while? Sounds like a clogged up fuel filter to me. Or maybe you need to check your spark plug fluid. ALso make sure the flux capacitor is getting enough plutonium flow. Just maybe your car is like you, and fixed the problem because it already knew the answer. You probably already knew that and you are just testing us again, because you know the answers before you ask the questions.

Yes it clears up after a while...it only happens for a split second...so if it was the fuel filter wouldn't it be all the time?

I don't need all the excess nonsense...so if you don't want to help, don't post.

Weirdrich, I think you can expect this kind of sarcastic reaction after the way you got yourself banned last time with your claiming to know more than all us dumb a$$'s. So I think its you that should apologise to the forum before you expect us to lend our experience to you without feeling your trying to set us up again. Just my opinion though but then again my opinion counts,

I appologize for what I may have caused last time, but it didn't start from me outright insulting people. You (Formula) misunderstood what I was trying to say and instead of clarification you had to start with the age nonsense. Not trying to blame you or anything though. It won't happen again, but for future reference I never insult people other than when defending myself. If you think I am, think of it in a different light because I'm not meaning to.
As far as the age stuff...that would be my biggest pet peeve, so stay away from the subject when ever possible. I know more than most my age (judging by personal experience with other teens) and many older people as well, Im not exactly asking "wheres the blinker fluid". Obviously a lot less than the all mighty FBody God Formula :worshippy:
fuckin kids.. i swear if this wasnt the internet i'd rip his hippie fucking head off..
Thats more offensive than a 5 year old holding up the middle finger. If it goes for everyone, then enforce it for everyone. Allthough most of the smileys are more offensive than anythign Ive ever said, Im gonna go ahead and not post them just in case
So yeah, lets just forgive and forget as much as possible, this isn't exactly all my fault...or it didn't end that way.
Love, Rich

Number one was all we needed to hear, number 2 is nice but I am not a praise whore. Also don't miss quote Rob's sig. That statement would not have been allowed to be made on AF and was infact stated on aim about a aim member nothing related to you or any other af member so therefor would not be a personal attack. Also the person who made the statement is within a few years of your age so I don't think that makes a good argument for your case. Now we can all get back to respecting each other and let this drop.

Could have been caused by many things none of which sound serious. I think most likely the engine got flooded for a sec(especially if you were heavy on the gas). You may want to check the spark plugs and wires but sounds like either a miss or flood to me and if it went away without setting a code I wouldn't be too worried about it.

It only happens when I am in a hurry to get out of the parking lot after school. Letting it warm up for even 30 seconds will most likely solve it...

You shouldn't be getting on the car without giving it time to warm up anyway but sounds like your flooding it to me. Just take it easy on her, she is getting older and may require a couple minutes before she ready for abuse but like I said if its been a while do any of the scheduled tune up replacements parts. Good Luck.

Getting out of the parking lot seemed to be a bigger priority, lol, it was eather that or wait 20 minutes while everyone clears out. Im in the middle of a tune up (plus some) project now...
