GTI 1/4 mile

What kind of 1/4 mile does a GTI run stock? And what kind of mods would it need to beat an 02 GT mustang 5spd?

Oh well yeah..I mean..I normally beat corvettes but I'm just wondering how I'd do against a GTI. :rolleyes: I'm asking this question because some guy my friend knows really wants to race my mustang. And he only has a few bolt on mods and he seems wayyyyyy too confident.

it all depends what kind of gti he has, the 1.8 T or the VR6. it would be close with a vr6 but unless the 1.8t t has a chip you should win. then agian it all depens on how well he knows the car and timing.

expect the gti to run mid 14 to mid 15.

We raced several times, I won them all except from a high first gear roll where I'd have to shift almost as soon as we took off. He says he runs a mid 14. When I did "lose" it wasn't by much and I was pulling hard on him.
