How to determine trim using VIN

I've got a vin number to a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix and I know there is a way to determine the trim using it but I can't seem to find a way to view any kbb pages where it gives you that info and the only kbb I have on me is for the older model cars. Any suggestions?

Just call any gm dealer and ask them for a VISS report on the vin. They probably won't know what VISS is so tell them to go into dealerworld and give you the option code explanation, most dealers will print it out for you. The parts department has access to this service from GM as well as the service dept. Good luck.
