lights out

when i turn the headlights on in my '98 K1500 the lights go out. It started with the high beams going out now and then the low beams. now nothing but the daytime running lights work. since the daytime running lights still work and both lamps went at the same time, i assume the lights are still good. suggestions?

Check your headlight switch for voltage, also the dimmer switch.
