I have a 1999 new body single cab z71 stepside 5.3

1. where can I fin some original stock blocks for the rear end? I lost mine and have those cheap ass auto zone ones and I keep damaging the ujoints because the rear end is not at the right angle. So I have been told.

2. I have the captian chairs with the center consol and would love to find an aftermarket center console that flips up into a third set like the fords. Where or if can i get one of those?

3. what is the largest tire i can stuff under my truck with no damage? my truck rides stock height.

thanks

Easy questions?

Yeah they seem pretty easy. I am not asking anyone to prove the theory of interdisciplinary mathematics or answer any of my engineering thermodynamics problems.

70CAMARO is correct but you will have to crack your torsion bars for the 285's to fit.

You dont HAVE to crank your bars, but it is advisable. My 285's fit fine without turning them, but I did it anyhow. I'm now running the stock size again.

For the blocks, the junkyard is the best bet. You might also check e-bay and see what they have. You canalso find the seat your looking for on there.

JEVERETT you didnt have to crank yours? Being a Z71 you didnt have problems rubbing while suspension compressed and wheels turned? or did you ever go off road and try it?

Oh yeah, I tried it. I bought it with 285's on it and the bars hadn't been touched. I test drive the piss out of it for 3 days off road and had no probs. I later cranked them myself after I bought the truck and have since had 3 sets of 285's on it, but I just found a good deal on some factory 265's, so I swapped back to that size for a little while.

How about a factory center .... mine is just like what you want .... its a center console with storage and it flips up into a middle seat

Thats what I am looking for. I did not know that chevy made a center flip up seat for my model truck. I thought it was either captians chairs with center storage or a bench seat.
