I have a 1991 Isuzu Trooper with a new Jasper 2.8 V6 and am tring to convert from automatic to a 5 spd manual. I bought a rebuilt transmission, got the pedals and hydraulics from a four cyl. 1991 Trooper, flywheel came from a internet junk yard, clutch fork and pivot ball came from the Isuzu dealer, ordered the clutch to match configuration.
Problem is this, with everything bolted up and the clutch fork on the pivot ball I can swing the fork by hand and hit both sides of the cutout in the bell housing while missing the throwout bearing by 1/4" to 1/2".
The only part I'm not sure is correct is the flywheel, if it was thicker or dished out in the middle it would push everything out where the fork would engage the throwout bearing.
Any one have a picture of the assy. or flywheel?
Am I missing something obvious?
TIA
