Is it normal to see oil pressure flucuation with this motor. The oil pressure seems to drop pretty low at idle.

thanks

That's usually a symptom of a bad oil pressure sending unit.

If your oil pressure is fluctuating, get thee to a dealer. If the sender is the problem, no big deal. If not, you are about to lose an engine. I had a similar experience. The dealer said no big deal, just the sender unit. Result: New engine due to "oil sludge". Running pure synthetic every 5K and oil sludge? hmm

Excellent advice; or fix it yourself. In any event, stop driving it until resolved.
