Hey there...came into some money recently and im looking to upgrade my 04 civic ex. Any suggestions? Im looking for power and performance mainly. If giving any suggestions id really like info on how it will affect the car(ie. how much extra power roughly etc.) and how much it will cost. Thanks a bunch

if you want performance you'll obviously want something other than esthetic mods.

IMO, if you want fast spend it all on engine mods. If you want something fun to drive, go for suspension mods. A good full coilover system or a nice spring and shock combo.

N 2 O is the cheapest way to go.
Check out the N.O.S. NOSzzle System.
It plugs in directly to your existing fuel injector system.
It's as good as direct port but as easy to install as a fogger system.

Personally im a performance guy, not too big on the whole "sporty look". Id say go with the engine mods. Maybe just start out with I/H/E. After that if you have some money leftover you could do some other little things like piece together a ground wires kit, about $20. Get some motor mount inserts or DIY for dirt cheap. But thats just me.

Unless you're going to seriously track this car, I'd say avoid coilovers because of the NVH. A street car can always use some stiffer springs and struts, though, and wider lower tires. My vote, though, would be to blow that cash on the engine. A Civic EX is still lacking in the horsepower department in stock configuration. Once you have some power, then you'll wish you had suspension, and then you'll wish you had more power, and then... it's a vicious cycle.

um... with 1000 id throw it in my engine.
some ideas are
intake($200$?)
exhaust($500$)
nitrous ($600$)
oops over the budget!!
or just do things like
removing and resizing the powersteering and ac belts.($50$?)
using synthetic oils($70$)
k&N oil filter($10)
high performance sparck plugs($40$)
msd wires($50)
a thinner head gasket to raise you compression ration (i know the gasket cost like 120 but install will be some more bucks est..$300$ total)
I heard that if you advance you timming on d-series that you gain a more level curve of power. that comes out to around $550$ not bad considering the hp gains est whp=10-25 ?? ?
but you should buy an intake if you dont have one since nitrous shouldnt be added to the gay stock plastic air intake. any onw have any other thoughts?
