driver of the vert is none other then Yasuyuki Kazama. he usually drives a lime green Kei Office S15 in the D1 Grand Prix, and won the D1 event that was held in California in August of last year i believe. he's one of my favorite drivers.
and the driver of the ER32 is Dart Izumi Jr.
i was a volunteer at a drift event here in Ontario back in June of 2004. Team Orange (Asamoto, Kumakubo, Tanaka) and Signal (Kuroi, Chunky Bai) all came out to demonstrate for us, and Signal brought their 1000hp R34.
so in the morning, i was there before all the crowds were since i was helping set up. i got to walk around and sit in all of the Signal and Team Orange cars, have close up conversations with all the drivers (through a translator of course). and then as a sort of "warm up", Tanaka went out for a practise run in his Sileighty. as he came down the front straight, the Team Orange mechanic walked out onto the straight-away. Tanaka routinely started to do donuts around him, and the mechanic scrambled around after the car, and finally caught up with the passenger door. he opened it, climbed inside, and the car drifted off. i was standing 10 feet away the whole time, madly snapping pictures. and this was before the public showed up, so only us volunteers got to see!

Did they take that 1000hp R34 out for a spin? I probably would have had an orgasm if I saw it launch. AWD launches=the sex.

Buy Drift Society. Izumi and Kazama do the same thing with the Kei Office Car.
Also theres a funny clip of Izumi doing a little burnout in a lexus then having the police flip the lights on them.
