A forum like you suggest would be good for add-on aftermarket electronics such as remote car starters, off road lighting, even towing accessories, GPS systems, etc., in addition to the audio systems. I've seen questions pop up about these in other forums, and I think the questions asked and the answers given could benefit other members who may have similar problems but not in the same vehicle. This would also "warehouse " these problems/questions into one site that members can access, and maybe some manufacturer specific problem may be discovered because of multiple posts about it, that might not happen if it were spread throughout the whole site into the various forums.

Kris , thank you for that link. I'll admit I not a frequent visitor to the "Cars in General" forums, so I wasn't aware that those sub forums existed. One thing I'd like to mention concerning locating specific forums on this site would be to add a "Search this forum" box on the home page. I know there is a search box towards the top with the Google name but I wonder how many people realize they can use it to search AF by choosing the "AF" circle instead of the "web" I've used the "search this forum" box on some of the specific forums, but noticed there isn't one on the home page. I wonder if by adding one of those search boxes geared towards just searching AF would cut down the number of iinquiries on this forum looking for certain types of forums or suggesting iideas for forums that already exist? IMO the search boxes in the specific forums are more user friendly. Just a thought.

If you want to search just AF go to Absolute top right of the screen, there are clickable buttons saying "Home", "FAQ", "Search", "Log off".
Using that search feature you can do many kinds of searchs, all within AF. You can limit it to specific forums or all of AF...is that what you are looking for?

Yes it is. Thank you. I really didn't notice it as for some reason part of the word "Search" in that area is cut off on my screen for some unknown reason,( you'd think with a 17" monitor you'd be able to see it all.)All it says there is "Sea" I'm glad you pointed that out as now I will be able to use it now that I've found it.
