lifted, coils on front still compressed?

Hi, I'm new here, but was hoping someone could help.

I just lifted my '91 Cherokee. I used 3'' blocks in back and 2.25'' spacers up front with new OEM coil springs. For some reason, my coil springs seem to be more compressed than they should be. The specs on the springs call for a ride height of around 15.5'' but mine are at around 14 or 14.5". Also on the passenger side, the spring bows a little to the front of the Jeep with the opposite (bowing to the rear) happening on the other side. The only other thing that is not stock is the sway bar links. I had them extended 2'' to get the sway bar back up.

Could the lower contol arms be my problem? When I reinstalled them I had the rotate the whole axle a few degrees to get them back in the mounting brackets at the frame where I disconnected them. I have checked a few kits and only the 4.5'' kits come with modified arms. Could the track bar have anything to do with it? Neither of the these things are hitting and have ample clearance.

Nobody I've talked to seems to have had this problem. Could someone please help!?

you might need to get a drop pitmen arm and your track bar should be alright. i got 9.5 inches of lift and i drove with my stock trackbar for a while and then i put a new one on and it drove so much better. wuz it real hard to put your disconnects in if so you might need to go longer. you really need to invest in longer and stronger control arms b.c your not going to get much flex . but im still new to the lifted thing so if u fix it i like to know what wuz wrong with it.

I would look at the sway bar disconnects too, for what ever reason your front suspension is still not at its full ride height, givving you the bowed springs, try taking off the swaybar disconnects and see what your suspension does. It just might release and go to suggested ride height. The track bar should be fine, they only sell adjustable track bars for lifts 3"+. However you might look inot a relocation bracket for the T/B. Also the dropped pitman arm is a good idea. I lifted my 00" 2" and haven't had any issues with steering, or suspension. Just make sure you get an alignment as soon as this problem is fixed.

I had an extra set of sway bar disconnects from my parts Jeep welded with a two inch extension inserted and everything seems good there. When I installed them I took both side loose thinking the same thing you guys are but the ride stayed the same. Also, where could I get a good dropped pitman arm at a good price?

I was thinking of taking the control arms loose again and see if it lifted anymore but they are such a hassle to reconnect.

I think alot of your problem started when you disconnected the lower control arms, I did my 2" with spring compressors and never touched the lower control arms. The only thing that might be holding it is maybe the trackbar. Look at the pivot point and see if its tweeked to one side, or try disconnecting it and see what happens. Or befiore you do that just loosed the lower C/A bolts and let them seat themselves.
