Anyone know how to activate the 20-30 second automatic security lock? I replaced the remote transmitters--they work--but somehow lost the ability to slam the door and walk away without pressing the transmitter.

I have yet to hear that this feature was even offered.

Its a DEI keyless entry security device that plugs into the vehicle's factory harness (Kind of like a COBRA system). The VSC 3000 was discontinued according to my dealer and I have no idea where to find troubleshooting information.

This is how you active passive arming on that system
1) Open a door
2) Turn the Ignition on, then off
3) Press and release the valet/program button 4 times. This will get you to option 4, which is passive or active arming.
5) Press the disarm (or channel 2). The system should chirp twice to indicate Passive locking
To exit the settings, either close the open door, turn the Ignition on, or wait longer than 15 settings without doing anything.

Turbocpe,
Thank you so much. It all makes sense now. I must have inadvertedly deactivated passive arming while sychronizing the new transmitters.

Turbocpe,
I went out to the parking lot tried and nothing happened. After #3 above, how do I know it have entered option 4? Should I expect a chirp or something?
If I press and release the valet switch once, it enters valet mode. 4 times, nothing happens--. I then press the disarm button and nothing happened.
Am I missing something?
Thanks,

Sorry, I'll check when I get home as I don't have the information in front of me.
Is everything on the alarm hooked-up? I ask because the alarm has to see the door open (via the circuit) as well as the ignition switch movements, in order to get into that programming mode.

I'm sorry, I really screwed that instructions up. No wonder it didn't work! Here's the correct way
1) Open a door
2) Turn the Ignition On, then Off
3) Press and release the valet/program button 4 times to get to Option 4. Right after that, press and HOLD the valet/program button. The siren should chirp 4 times to indicate Option 4
4) While still holding the valet/program button, press the disarm (or channel 2) button on the remote. The siren should chirp twice to indicate the 2nd choice has been selected (passive locking in this case)
5) Release the valet/program button
To exit the learn mode, either close the open door, turn the Ignition to On, or wait over 15 seconds without doing anything.
Hope this helps, and sorry about the error the first time. I completely missed the extra steps.
By the way, may I ask if this unit was an aftermarket installed on your vehicle? Or did the Blazers come with this exact unit? I ask because I bought this unit before I bought my Blazer as I was going to install it on my F-Body. It's still new in the box as I changed my mind, I think.

Thanks,
I'll try the new instructions later. It was installed by the dealer as an aftermarket before delivering the new vehicle. Got insurance deduction for it too.

Turbocpe,
Thanks again. All systems are working. This is what I found with your help.
Option 1: Activate passive arming
Option 3: Activate door lock/unlock on ignition start/stop respectively.
Option 4: Activate automatic passive arming with 30 second door lock
