95 eclipse transmission oil

I have recently purchased a 95 eclipse gs 5 speed. The car seems to be low on transmission oil because when starting the synchros of the transmission make a bad rattling noise. I was wondering if this is what is causing my problem and if it happens to lots of Eclipses? Also, where is the transmission oil fill up and check on this car , and where is the drain located at?
