Airfix had a great E-type roadster some years ago, don't think it was their own though, a rebox of Gunze maybe? It had white metal chassis, engine and more. Styrene bodywork and photo etched spokes for the wire wheels just like Gunzes 250 GTO also reboxed by Airfix at the same time. Hasn't seen any around in about ten years but maybe it can be found on ebay!?

Good luck!
Niclas

Edit:
found this one (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1190&item=5955064930&rd=1) on Ebay. Sure is a Gunze high-tech kit, starting bid at £49.99 and that's about the prize of it in Sweden when I saw in a local shop.

airfix also had a non 'hi-tech' kit that was made all in plastic that usually is cheaper....
you'll have to fight for the full detail hi-tech kits as they seem to be rarer than a virgin in a secondary school in essex.
the regular kits pops up on e-bay from time to time.

Hey,

Also, there is a revell e-type coupe-hatchback style. I think it was the old airfix or aurora tool? Unsure. But the kit is very nice.

Yea, they had that same one at my Hobby Shop. From the looks of the box, i think it was 1:12:) But that hobby shop sells kits too expensive. www.tech-toys.com , thats their site if you want to ask them if they still have it:)

I have built the Revell Jaguar XKE (=E-type Convertible) in 1:25, which is quite nice and detailed with the engine, suspension etc, but the body was very warped.
