one piece CV style driveshaft

I'm wondering whether or not to install a one piece CV driveshaft on a 2 wheel drive 2500 long bed. The cost of replacing the center support bearing on the 2 piece shaft is adding up. And any input from someone who has done this would be appreciated.

I am thinking that the length of the driveshaft will not allow a one piece shaft with the rotating mass and torque it will be under, it may cause it to want to flex or bend .....no? . I mean there has to be some reason why they went with that type of a design with the hanger bearing for support in the middle......... jsut a thought.

They did go will a two piece shaft because yes it is too long, and no custom manufacture want the liability of makin a 14 foot long driveshaft, and the reason for the constant bearing changes were due to improperly balanced rear wheels, and bad u-joints.

That's pretty much what i figured, but at least you got your problem solved.
