Yes change the fluid and filter....dont not have a power flush done, unless you plan on replacing the tranny.

Hey BIG-L, why should you not have a power flush done? I've heard of people saying not to do it but I do not know the reason not too.
thanks

It can break sediment lose from inside the tranny, like clutch dust and other foreign materials and push it into places it's not wanted

if i were you, i would have it done, others hear believe that there is more harm done then good. seeing how i have performed this service hundreds of times, and only had one bad tranny out of the deal in 8 years. i believe it to be good. they hook the machine up to a cooler line. and as your car idles, your transmisson slowly pushes the old fluid out of the transmission. as the old fluid comes into the machine it pushes the new fluid into the transmission. it completely operates off of the pressure of your transmission. if your "filter" is bad, the machine will not be able to do its job, as your transmission will not have adequate pressure. in effect. the machine that I use holds 18qts of oil. your transmission only holds 12 qts max. in effect it exchanges your fluid by dolution of the old.
i do it every 30k. and on my new beeter. it was the first time it was done.
