Locked out of stereo

I just purchased a 1999 Integra GS-R yesterday, and I'm locked out of the stereo! When I hit the power button, it asks for the code, and I, having owned it for one day, have no clue what it is! :D

Has anybody ever had this problem? There must be some way to reset the stereo (although yes, it does seem a bit redundant to secure the deck with a resettable code) There are 7776 possible codes, and I'm not about to try them all :bloated:

Thanks

disconnecting and reconnecting won't help........you should have the code written on some of the documents that came with the car, if not you will have to contact a Honda dealership they should be able to give you the code, if you are lucky they won't charge u for it....:)

take out your stereo take it to the closest honda dealer ship with the registration and they should give you the code for free

Alrighty, I'll head to my Honda dealership tomorrow!

One more question for you - I purchased the 100,000/5yr Acura extended service warantee when I bought my car. Will my Honda dealership do all of the repairs on my Acura? The nearest Honda dealership is 5 minutes away from my house - the nearest Acura dealership is 2 1/2 hours away :D

Thanks for your help...

Well, I went to my Honda dealership, and, to my utmost dismay, I HAVE TO GO TO THE ACURA DEALERSHIP!!! That's a loooong drive =P

I installed my stereo from my car that got wrecked (that's why I got my GSR =) and it now runs smoothly and sounds great.

Thanks for your help everyone!
