Cricket noise in engine compartment.

I notice periodically a cricket noise coming from under the engine compartment, the noise is there as I’m stopped at the lights and does get louder and more frequent as I accelerate. I have changed the belts, alternator, and water pump. What else could it be??? Pulley?

It's more than likely either the tensioner or idler pully... It could also be your ac pump bearing... Easiest way to tell is simply get a wooden dowel and use it like a stethascope to track down which one it is.

Clean the pulleys, use an emery cloth on the top pulley that is painted black as the wearing paint can cause the belt to contact it unevenly. To be sure, spray a quick shot of wd40 on the back of the belt as it is spinning and if the chirp disappears you know it is belt contact making the noise. Don't spray too much wd40 though or you could mess up your belt.
