anybody had problems with central locking on BMW 330 using 2 keys?

seems to have something to do alternating the keys and going into boot?

works fine using usual key (key 1), but using secondary key (key 2) and going into the boot of the car seems to throw the central locking into chaos.

After locking up with usual key 1, everything fine...on using key 2 it never seems to open the central locking right even though it is coded correctly (as this is the second key we have had). It will not allow the car to open except on using the key in the lock and setting alarm off. After this...using key 1 again it now no longer opens the central locking doors and you have to again physically open the car door with the key - although by pressing the 'lock' button, it works fine and goes through its usual motion of locking. But trying to open with the 'unlock' button...brings on light as usual but does not open the doors. only way to get in is to physically use the key and set the alarm off (although that goes off when you put the key in and start her up!!). This seems to be an intermittent fault and sometimes playing around with the position of the locks on the boot door i.e. using normal lock and deadlock for the boot sometimes seems to remind it?

Did that all make sense? and has anybody else had this problem?

Well im not sure if this is the answer to your problem but what you can try doing is setting your key... take your #1 key and put it in your ignition, turn to position 2 and the remove the key hold down unlock and press lock 3 time while holding unlock .. after doing so your doors should lock/unlock then take your second key (key#2) and do hold down unlock and press lock 3 times this should unlock/lock the doors. by doing this it sets your key and it just might fix your problem
