I was driving home then all the suddenly I had no lights...the front and back parking lights works and also the signal lights but no headlights....high or low beam...can anyone tell me what they think the problem could be.....try to check to see if there was a fuse but couldn't find it...oh ! just to say also was having a problem with the high and low beam switch...so I was thinking that could probably be the problem....

It's probably the fuse... use a test light to check all of them, or look in the owners manual, it will tell you which one it is.

What's the problem with the beam switch? It would most likely stay on one or the other, not go out.

Hi,sounds to me like it could be your light switch itself. You might see if you wiggle your switch around if they might flicker.

It sounds like either the headlight switch or the dimmer switch. I had a similar problem with my 92 except it was only the high beams that wouldn't work. I bought a dimmer switch for twenty bucks and installed it in about ten minutes. Problem solved. Since you have no headlights I would think it is the headlight switch because I don't believe there is any external relays for the lights on the 92. Everything is in the switch. The switch shouldn't be to expensive either.

The problem with the beam switch is that it won't change from low to high any more...I know that I have to change that...I look around for the fuse at the fuse box and didn't find any there for headlights ..only for park...stop...and so on...and all of those are working good and those fuses are good too....my 77' silverado does have a fuse for the lights but this 92' well I can't find it....please reply anyone and advise..

I had just resently replace the light switch about 4 months ago ....maybe you are right on the dimmer switch...going to go outside right now and check the light switch again ...as for the dimmer switch well going to have to wait and buy that anyways and hopefully that will do the trick....thanks..
