Contour Problems

I have a first generation 1995 Ford Contour. It starts fine and idles good but when under a load it boggs down and eventually dies. Any ideas ? A few months ago I changed the plugs and had to put in a new O2 sensor and it ran great, but then it sat for about 3 months undriven and unstarted and now it is down again. Thanks Tim

Have you ever changed the fuel filter?

Yes, I change the fuel filter on average every 6000 miles, every other time that I change the oil. Thanks
