Changing battery on a 95

I'm helping my friend change the battery in his 95 PA. Problem is, I'm more of a Toyota guy, so I'm not sure how to do it. Looking at it, it's a lot different than my car (Toyota obviously). If anybody can give me a quick how-to, I'd appreciate it.

Um, wasn;t aware there was THAT much of a difference in batteries among carmakers.

Anyhow:

open hood
locate battery on passenger side, near front support member
using a 5/16 socket wrench( I like 1/4 inch drive) remove the negative cable(black)
using a 5/16 socket wrench, remove the positive cable(red)
The battery is secured to the tray with a 15 or 18mm bolt(can't remember which, I think 18) Remove the bolt and plastic trapazoidial shaped retainer.

Reverse to install.

Disclaimer: DO NOT TOUCH any metal on or off the vehicle while loosening or tightening the terminals. 12V of electricity will really wake you up.

Thanks...it is a lot different than the Toyota. The yota battery is held on by a bar that goes over the top of the batter...couldn't see where the PA battery was being held on just by looking at it.

was it 15 or 18? I figured you had to be experienced with bars over batteries, GM's used this system for a while.

Mike-something wrong with that?

I believe it's 12mm, or maybe 13mm, at least it is on my '95 P.A. & '94 Bonneville as far as I can remember. And for the battery terminals I always used 8mm, though 5/16 is probably better. For the battery tray, you'll need a long extension for your ratchet.
