i've got a 94 cherokee country. all of the windows seem to struggle to get up, and it seems to get worse by the day. the rear right one got stuck down a few times, but i physically pushed it up as i used the switch to get it closed. then, a couple of days ago, i accidentally put it down from the driver's seat (i've had the jeep for four years, and still have to look at the master switches to see which one i'm hitting), and now it won't go back up. i'm not mechanically inclined, but i was thinking about fixing this myself. what should i be looking for if i take the door panel off? is this most likely a window motor problem? like i said, i'm not mechanically inclined, but i figured if it was a fuse problem, none of the windows would work.

My approach is to take the door pad off, cycle it through once to get a good visual. Listen to the window motor for intermitent power and or metalic scrapage due to lack of lubercant. If a voltmeter is handy check volts to the motor. also be on the lookout for corrosion on the connections and or fuses. If replacement parts are needed contact your local parts store or junkyard accordingly.

All the windows are control from the driver’s door. Sounds like you have a bad wire feeding the main control. You may want to pull the drivers door apart and check the wires there, and from the door back to the body (more likely) for bad wires like in the wire loom.
(I have a very similar problem on my grand on a rear door to)
