In-Progress: Nissan Silvia S12

Okay, well I got this a couple weeks ago and started it last week. Its probably my 5th model I have started and have yet to finish, oh well. The model was desigined to be motorized so the chassis had some holes that needed to be filled.

Springs also sucked, well they are actually non-existent. Heres an original front and my modfied one. I also am going to build back struts and springs since they don't existent either.

I have built like 14 took 3 apart, and have 25 inprogress! LOL, Who makes this kit? And does it have engine detail?

No the model doesn't have engine detail, but I think it was meant to. It has engine ba detail on the chassis and a brake booster, trubo, distributor and a couple other engine parts are included in the kit.

I made some progress on the interior touchups, I'll have pictures later tonight.

Aoshima, its in there Historic Car series. Not a bad kit, I aaven't had any fitment issues yet. Theres a lack of detail on the chassis because the kit was designed to be motorized, but I fixed what I could.

Even though it doesn't seem like many people are paying attention to this poor old car, I'm gonna go ahead and post some updates of what I have as of today. I like to call this ccar an AE86 wannabe, lol. The headlights glue isn't dry yet so thats why they look milky and they are also not in the right spot either. Anyway on with the pics and thanks to alll whos looking.

thanks for the comments guys and to Tonioseven, I really wish I could keep going, but theres only a couple more things I can do before I have to paint the body. Unfornately that can't happen until it warms up here in central Ohio. I'll just start another model until the temperature rises.

Wow, talk about bring this back from the dead. It was nice out today so I go some paint on the car and clear-coated it. Taillights are finished and so is everything else except for polishing, painting the trim and finishing the decals. Paint is dupilcolor Metallic Silver over some cheap primer that blead through a little, but not bad enough to repaint.

I like it. Don't worry, there are a few 80's fans out there (like me!). I swear I bought like a fleet of old japanese imports over the last couple of months. I have an oddball one like yours. One of my current builds is a Starion. Muahahahahahah!
