fog light install

Hey

I am wondering the cleanest way to wire 2 foglights on my 98 cherokee. The switch wires are already installed from the factory, the relay ports are there in the power distribution center and the lights themselves are installed(these I installed, they are not factory). Are there wires already run for the foglamps and if so where are they located. If no wires are already run what suggestions are there for running them. The foglight locations are below the headlights and below the front bumper. I will be installing an aftermarket switch. The dealer quoted me $209 for the factory switch which also comes with a wiring kit which apparently cannot be sold seperately.

Thanks in advance

Steve

If it did not come with your vechile the dealer is not your best bet. Your local parts people will have the answers and any parts you will require.

I found the factory switch and bezel on e-bay for about $10. In the dash, the little socket for the dash light was already wired in, but the wiring for the switch and lights wasn't. I used the 'ignition on' power in the dash, through the switch and out to a new relay by the fuse box under the hood. Then I took some power off the batt, through a fuse, to the relay and out to the lights. With the switch on, the lights go on/off with the ignition. You can also wire them so the relay comes on with either the high or low beams. Possibilities are endless...
