So yesterday i spent some time modifying the car some more, installed my airmass 2-piece header, and one front motor mount instert. and i'm quite happy with the results :) you can tell a difference with the mount insert already and no vibrations either :)

I like the interior. How did you hook up all those gauges? Do you have a fuse block hidden somewhere?

Confused..
You just got a header, but in another thread you're talking about making room for your new intercooler?!

Oh, and I think your rims are on backwards. :p

Your car is a dirty whore.

Do you have any pics of the seat belt harness mounting points? I thought about using one with my stock seats but pplz said it wasn't a good idea.

looks good
i think your next mod should be degreasing your engine block/tranny!!!

as for the thermostat ground...I'm kinda baffled on that one. There should be one there...as you can see by the blank hex bolt there....
That is the hex bolt for the ground to bolt to.
Anyways...i've never been able to start a car without that ground attatched...maybe your harness is grounded some other way thru your wiring...ahhh well.

I like everything except what's stopping you from painting the rest of your car? that would be a first priority for me...

Check out the pic of the motor, there is another ground attached on the front valve cover nut, going around to where the starter is.

im not sure what you mean by the rear belts?? Do you mean the lap belts, the shoulder belts, or both? any pics of this???

oh and the reason some ppl say it isnt a good idea is bc of the angle you mount the shoulder straps, they should be attached to a roll bar or something similar to be at the correct angle.....but thats what I hear. :eek7:

Hey thats real slick. I really like the neon on your subbox. Could you tell me how you hooked it up? I've also been wanting to paint my interior, could you tell me how to do that? Those fog lights look dope too! They give it that nice nerdy kid wearing glasses look! Are they Hella? Hella cool if you ask me. Keep up the good work Derek!

This is for a 91' (there's an electrical list page too but says should not be used for 88-89). There may be some differences but at least it's a start... http://www.binghamtonlife.com/manual/2gsm/electrical.htm

mounting points must be directly behind you! if they are not, and you put sholder harneses on the floor, when you get into an accident (not saying you will but if you do) your spine will align and you can compress disks and even rupture them, if you have your sholder harneses mounted to the floor in your backseat, take them out! you need a steel bar, secure behind the headrest, and mount to those, for lap belts just go to the floor next to you on both sides
