ok i made a post a couple days ago about a massive puddle thats getting bigger everytime it rains. i seriously think i found the problem. i didnt notice it until i sat in the front seat an looked into the hinge of the rear door.. just were the weather strip starts to bend to run along the bottom, there is a rust spot.. not on the weather strip side, but on the acual door itself, where it seats against it.. its about 2-3 inches long, an its bubbling up, i asume thats whats breaking the seal... my question is whats the best way to fix it? i was thinking about sanding it smooth, an putting some kind of paint, or even like liquid nails or sumthing.... ive got all kinds of silicone, alone with some other adhesives... any ideas??? specific material would be nice...

I actully had the same problem on my old 300zx. I sanded it down hit it with primmer then took a base coat of JB weld and a paint brush and made a nice patch. Then i sanded it smooth and repainted

how much does the jb weld cost? does it come in small enough sizes for what i need? its only about the size of a quarter, maybe a lil more...

I'm thinkign jb weld is like $3 at wal-fart. mix the two tubs together on a plate but don't get the quick dry it does't work "as" good. easy shit. and yes it is in pretty small sizes and stuff

A wire wheel on an electric drill is a quick and easy way to remove the rust.
