Auto->Man swap

Has anyone performed a swap to a manual transmission on the later model S-10? I wanted to know the level of difficulty involved in doing it myself, and also what a good 5 or 6 speed will set me back.

I've got an '03 4.3 EXT.

For what it is worth, I put a 91 S-10 2WD AT cab on an 84 4WD MT frame. The 84 had a 5 speed and a 2.8 motor. Out side of the removing the dash board to install the clutch pedal and the smaller brake pedal. (This was as bad as it sounds) Everything else was real smooth. The firewall had all dimples to install the master cylinder and reservoir. My floor even indented for the cut out for the transmission and transfer case. Works Great last a long time? Good luck
