Talon Electrical Problems. . .Please Help!

Hey!!? I have a 1993 2.0 litre 5 speed non-turbo Talon, and I'm having problems with the electrical and charging system. The story is that the batterey died and i tried to boost it and for some reason i had a stupid moment and I put negative to positive and positive to negative. Nothing blew up, but for some reason i cannot get my battery to charge, I have put a new alternator and battery in and everything, what can i do to find out where the problem is and how to fix it? the mechanics around here can't seem to help me and this car is how i get to wrok everyday. The other problem is I can't get the headlights to turn off, and sometimes the corners stay on too, i've been having to pull out the relay to save battery power, the lights stay on even without the key. These problems are related i assume? Can someone help me please? I would be so greatful, i'm out of ideas!!!!!!! Thanks!!!!

I had the same problem 6 months ago. And it turned out being the fuse for the alternator thats under the hood. Its a pretty big fuse. Check the fuse box and look at the one for the alternator. You probobly fried it when you crossed the wires.
