i'd like to know what performance upgrades are available to increase
performance, engine power, suspension, etc. its the 95 granny model. I find myself driving the ciera(wifes car) as much as my own, because of the out of town driving i do this is the only car we have i trust on trips more than 30 miles away, therefore, it needs some boost everywhere to maintain my sanity. It's got decent power in both mid and top-end range for a small v-6 but i know someone out there has outdone the factory by finding more power. it really needs a shot of low end torque. any companies out there with parts such as headers, intake, retuned computer/chip, or maybe blower..... anyone done perf work on this engine? what works, what dont?

There are several companies that make performance upgrades for that engine. The upgrades they make though are for that engine in a pontiac grand am or grand prix. Although the engine is the same and the performacne upgrades would have the same effect on your engine you may have clearence problems with such things as headers and intakes that you buy for the pontiac 3.1 Another option for you to look at is what is known as the miracle of ebay. Just type in your car in the searchbar and ever auction with those words in it will appear. Good Luck finding more power in that barley adequate engine.
