PLEASE HELP - 94 Ciera Won't Get Past 10 mph

Hey Guys,

I would sincerely appreciate any feedback anyone may be able to offer for my unfortunate situation.

My 94 Cutlas Ciera - 195k w/ rebuild at 150k - will not accelerate past 10 mph when driving, even with the pedal to the floor. I'm not sure if it's the transmission, or the injectors, or possible something I haven't even thought of.

I change the oil semi-regularly (every 5k or so) and have recently repaired the starter, spark plugs, gas tank, and fuel pump. It was flooded out during Hurricane Jean. (last Sept.)

I was just driving along yesterday and slowed in traffic to merge into another lane and when I attempted to accelerate, it would not go past 10 mph. It sounds like it's squeaking or chirping when it's idling and grinding when driving.

Do any of you guys have any suggestions as to what I should do? I don't have much money right now and taking it to a mechanic is, unfortunately, not an option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Anthony
