has anyone taken their badges off of their car? im getting the car painted when my hood and new rear lip gets in but i dont want to pay extra for them to paint the badges red ( the car will be painted black like it already is) anyway i want to take them off and do them myself but im not sure how easy they come off since i never tried to get them off, anyone out there know?

The badges come off real easy. They're on your car by double sided tape. All you have to do is...

1. Use a blow dryer to heat the emblem up.
2. Take some fishing wire with two washers on the end to cut through the tape.
3. Use some goo-be-gone or equivalent to remove the access glue on your car.
4. When you finish painting the emblems cut out some new double sided tape using an exacto knife to reflect the logo.
5. Stick it to the car.

When I bought my car the Z28 and the cnevy bow tie were on the wrong side so I had to do this.

it really is easy, we did the same process to our park truck when we had it repainted.. they used some horrible trim adhesive to stick the RAM 2500 logo on, and it fell off in about a week.. so i went to the hardware store and got double sided tape, it wont come off there without a fight..
