Hey guys i have a 95 4x4 with TBI 350. I am having a problem wiht hesitation from a start. when i am already going it is not as bad but from a start it seems to me like it is flooding itself out possibly. it doesn't do it at all times. i have new plugs, wires, and cap and rotor. i also changed the fuel filter and we have messed with hte timing. any suggestions?

Your problem may be worse than mine was. My 97 was acting kind of sluggish for a while. I waited until I had about 1/4 tank of gas and dumped in a bottle of fuel injector cleaner and it seemed to fix it. But yours may not be that simple.

sounds like my 90 halfton 350tbi, mine would like pretty much die it seems at times, i never could find the problem i replaced sooo many things too. i later found out that i had a cracked head and somehow it was also why my heater wasnt working right, well idk wut it is for sure but i do hate the problem, but i ahve a newer engine now out of a 91, i also do ahve threads posted in here, im not sure how far back they are but shouldnt be to far i know that one is called BAD HESITATION and the other one is something like that or something im not sure, try and find them sometime they might help you out alot, well good luck

If you have access to a scan tool of any kind, hook it up and see if it's been running rich or lean. If it's running lean, check for disconnected vacuum lines, and clean out the throttle body and IAC really good.

Quite possibly the base gasket for the TBI is shot , i had an 88 with the 350 TBI and it hesatated and pinged when cold. There was only a piece about 2" long left of the entire base gasket. It is a cheap and easy thisg to try first.
