Does anyone know if the offset from the rims on a 99-02 Silverado 1500 is the same as the offset from a 96 K1500? I am thinking of swapping the rims on my truck to the newer style but I want to make sure they are going to fit. I do know that the lug pattern is the same, 6 lug on a 5.5" pattern. If anyone can be of help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

i see a lot of the mid 90s trucks with the newer rims, I think they are the same.

The offset (which is what you initially asked about) might possibly be different on the two different year models, but I still think you will have no problems seeing as how there is alot of wheel well space on trucks. Like abaird, I have seen many mid to late 90's model trucks rollin on newer model stock rims. If you have 6 lug, you could even put Escalade rims on if you wanted I've seen that on older year model trucks

I put 04 17" Avalanche rims on my 89 and no problems. They stick out a little further than the stock but not outside the wheel well. I like the look of them. Don't know where you plan on getting them but if you know of a conversion place near you check with them. That is where I bought mine.

The 6 lug 5.5 should work. Go to Discount and double check with them.
