Does anyone have the programming instructions for a 2000 altima keyless remote.
Likewise, I need these instructions for my 2000 Altima. I have tried the instructions all over the internet and it isn't working. New battery in the fob, no blown fuses... I can get to programming mode (insert and remove key 6 times) but when I turn the key to ACC and press a button on the fob nothing happens.
Thanks
Oh..bored3917..if you figure it out please relay the instructions. Here or at [email protected].

00 Altima remote programming:
NOTE: (you may need to reset your alarm for the programming to work. Get in the car, lock the doors with the key and wait for the alarm to set. Then open a back door by unlocking it from the inside. This will sound the alarm. Turn it off by turning the key to unlock the door. Open drivers door. Now, you can use the regular programming instructions to reset your factory alarm and they will work)
Close and lock all doors. Erase original ID codes(s) by inserting and removing key from ignition switch more than 6 times within 10 seconds. Hazard warning lights should flash twice.
Turn ignition switch to ACC position. Puch lock button on new remote control once. Hazard warning lights should flash twice, indicating ID code for new remote control has been entered.
To enter additional remote control ID code(s), unlock driver's door and then lock it using door lock knob. Press lock button on new remote control once to enter ID code.
A maximum of 4 remote control ID codes can be entered. If same ID code is entered more than once, the entry is ignored even though hazard warning lights will still flash twice. TO exit programing (ID entry) mode, open driver's door.
Some Early models use this method:
Under the drivers seat and carpet is a button, put the key in the ignition and turn it to on then pull the key back out, then you'll hear beeps push the lock button on the remote and you're done

Well, I programmed the fob. The problem was that I was turning the key to the ACC position and in reality one is supposed to turn it to the ignition position. So, if the above instructions from Chris didn't work try to turn to ignition instead of ACC.

I have tried all the above mentioned and still no good. My alarm just goes off the minute I put back the relays I removed to get the alarm to stop. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Tbo

You may have the wrong remote. I bought two on Ebay for my 01 and they matched down to the numbers but did did not work. I ordered one more from ebay and the seller said it is the only remote that will with the alarm. They need to be checked b4 you use them sometimes they just the wrong one. I now have keyless entry again. I can sell you the two I have if you want let me know
