My door is broken

Hey guys, I'm new here. Civix represent! :D. But anyways........ I have a slight problem. I noticed that my little metal bar that connects the door to the piece of metal by the dash is broken off. And the little metal tab that held the pin in is broken. You can jiggle it around inside the hole. I got a new bar and put it back in, but the door keeps making this popping sound. I noticed that the metal tab is not supporting the load of the door and keeps moving the bar back in forth.

This is so freaking annoying and I hate to have to keep the door open with my arm to just get out, when my passenger door just kinda locks into place and you can get out easily.

Is there any way at all to reach that little tab from behind the metal wall there to where I could weld it back? I don't want to weld it from the outside cause I risk getting the inside rusted do to all the metal shards that go back there.

If you can fit a welder tip up in there, more power to you, but the main relay to your fuel pump sits right there. So your best bet is to either just weld it right there in the door jamb or take everything apart... GL
