10 import commandments

The ten import commandments:

1. Anyone should be able to have pride in their car without it being compared to anything else. If you can only afford a vw rabbit, and you feel like putting a turbo on it, or tweak it as you can afford, good for you.

2. A street car that handles well is just as important as a street car that has alot of horse power.

3. Power to weight ratios do matter.

4. Racing is always better and safer on a track.

5. Noisy mufflers don't mean good flowing mufflers, but quiet ones usually do.

6. 6 inch muffler tips do not improve performance.

7. 7000 hp motors only happen at the drag strip with engines that run on nitros oxide, have filled water ports, and can only run for about 30 seconds at a time before they overheat.

8. Not all people with import i4's are "ghetto kids", or "gangbangers"

9. A $50,000 corvette can't be compared to a $25,000 import, imagine a subaru wrx or a s2000 honda with $20,000 in upgrades.

10. A turbo does not mean you have more displacement, it means that you are compressing air in the intake manifold. A non-turbo has intake pressure too. Just not as much, a boost in intake pressure can also be from a super-charger, or ram-air.

i agree with all the above its a thread that makes sense for once instead of the usual bull

could we add

something to do with revving V8's at I4's giving them the finger and flooring it whilst the I4 does nothing i think thats pretty pointless

altho if i start anything in retalliation its the equivalent of getting shot but i laugh its great fun


here's another one

don't twin turbo aluminium engines they can't take it - example henessey vipers which blow up after a very very short period of time cuz the engine can't take it :D
