so, i my blitz nurspec exhaust will be here tomorrow, and i got a megan test pipe with it. since i most likely will put an sr20 in the car, i got the test pipe with the o2 sensor boss for said sr20. i have to plug it for the time being, and am wondering if a simple hardware bolt of the correct thread pitch and diameter could be obtained at the local hardware store. has anyone else done this recently? just figured id ask to see if its easier to put a bolt in it, or get a dummy o2 sensor and cut the wires and screw it in.

thx

Yep. Just take the test pipe with you and try different bolts. They have to have one because my o2 bung right now is a nut from Ace hardware. Don't ask me for bolt specs because I don't remember them.

If you're lazy, order a plug from www.atpturbo.com

Plug it anyway. the O2 for the SR20DET is in the turbo elbow.

well, i was told by one of these online stores that the factory silvias and 180's with sr20's had a factory o2 sensor on the catalytic converter. i bought the test pipe in place of the cat, with the same o2 sensor boss, so, if need be, i can use it, otherwise, ill keep it plugged, no harm done

someone mentioned deleting it completely, which i guess would be ok with some sort of aftermarket fuel management, somenoe else said it was on the turbo dump elbow, i just wanted to have it so if i needed it, it wasnt 40 bucks to have welded on. the test pipe was only 65.
