Changing the radio

When changing the radio in the car did you also get the radio buttons on the steering wheel to work. What was done? The Bose radio is nice since it can control the volume when picking up speed or slowing down.

If I decide to keep the bose radio can I add amps to it and change speakers and add a subwoofer. I already have the amps, speakers and sub from my previous car. Is it worth it??

I've seen people use IR sending units to allow to the wheel controls to work. The only thing is, you've gotta get a radio that has an IR remote port.

If u change your radio to a Better deck u will never be able to use those buttons. on mine i have an Alpine and i can't use my bottons but if u have a bose system there is a way to use your factory amp to power all that shit up. my boy has an Audi a6 waggon and its how he got rims on it and shit but some how he was able to power a 1600 watt amp to his factory and he has his origonal radio and he never messed with it. iv been wondering how he did that with out no RCA cables and remote wire. if your interested ill look more into it and help u out but if u take out that factory deck say bye to your button one when u take that out if stopes the onter functions like your heat and blower it did on mine
