Swap out heater controls?

I have a 2001 Grand Prix with dual heat controls, and they are manual - 2 sliders for temp control, and knobs for the fan and air direction.

My girlfriend has a 2000 Grand Prix with dual heat controls, but she has the digital cliamte control one....the one where you set a temperature digitally and it does the rest.

We hate her controls....those climate control ones always seem to run either hot or cold depending on what it believes it should be doing. We were hoping it was possible to swap out her digital controls with a set of manual controls like mine, but we have no clue what it's like behind that dash panel.

Any ideas on whether this is possible? If so, any suggestions on where to go to purchase the manual controls?
