Flare Question

I got some used flares on ebay for my 2000 silverado but with no clips. I bought some clips but I see people selling new flares say they come with clips and tape. My question is what kind of tape and what is it used for.

It would be 3M Tape. I don't know why it didnt include one or the other.

The tape comes pre-attached to the flares, at least the ones GM sells. It is some sort of 3M stuff, like Texas said.

Are they calling the tape the small trim piece that goes on the flare that comes in contact with the truck. Mine has those but I did not think of that as tape. If not is it double face tape and how would it go on.

Thanks

The tape should be on the inside of the flare and yes it contacts the truck so it sticks.

Thanks for the info. Before I got these I should have check around as by the time I get done getting the clips and tape I could have got new. I live in a state where they use a lot of salt in the winter and I was planning on pulling them every winter so they would not trap the salt but I better give up that idea if I have to tape them on. Thanks again.
