Knocking from Right Front Wheel

I know this is a little vague, but I have this "knock" type noise when I hit bumps, or when I brake semi-hard, or release the brake. The brake issue led me to believe it was the lunging forward or releasing back that was making it happen.....although, when I'm out of the car, I cannot get the wheel or shock to make the noise manually to located it. Anyone have any ideas?

does it make more noise when you are turning? does the noise stop when you are turning? or get worse?

This might be your problem.. from what you describe (noise on bumps, quick stop, start) sounds like it could be this:

and it's easy to check.. just open hood grab near hinge and 'shake' to see if the right side of hood is 'loose'. (sounds crazy.. but the loose hood from inside the car sounds like it's coming from the wheel area. and inertia 'slams' the hood back and forth when stop/starting/turning/bumpy roads)

I just had both upper and lower ball joints, sway bar linkage and transfer case module replaced in my 2002 Blazer with 25K miles under warranty. I was hearing a clunking noise when the steering wheel was turned to the left. They said it was the ball joints and sway bar linkage was worn. The vehicle would also fail to go into 4WD. This was caused by the transfer case module being defective. How can a vehicle with so little miles have a problem like this? I plan on getting an exteneded warranty.

make sure to prop your hood open and wiggle the offending side near the hinge to see if there is any 'play' like in BlazerLT's video before ordering the washer.
All credit redirected to BLT.. (hmm guess you can't shorten that.. sounds like a sandwich)... redirect credit to BlazerLT.

couldnt get the video, but I checked mine, and thats definately the knocking! I'm amazed! Just goes to show, no question is too small to ask! :) Thanks to BlazerLT, and vballfun for pointing it out!
Heading to the dealer now to get the washers.
For those of you checking....not sure how he did it in the video, but I could only get the clunk by pushing down the hinge area, and pulling up card. It wouldnt knock side to side.
