Clunking noise in Front end?

I have an '01 Cav 2.2L. My suspension started making a clunking noise that is pretty much constant now. It pops when I accelerate hard, turn hard, and go over any kind of bump in the road. I know that my struts are bad and I am replacing them all around with a Tokico d-spec kit. My concern is it's more than just the struts, like the strut mounts? Any one else have this problem? And what was done to fix it? Like to know before I tear it down so i've got what I need the first time. Thanks.

Strut mounts are a usual suspect! Change these when you change you struts! Have you lwered the car and hept the stock struts? Check for any lose bolts also. Other than that sway-bar bushings.

Not lowered yet but will be with the d-spec kit. Unfortunately it didn't come with a sway bar, but plan to add front and rear bars soon also a camber/caster kit to adjust alignment after lowering and a set or strut tower braces. Thanks for your input.

It should have! It's otherwise referred to an anti-roll bar or stabiliser bar! But it should be there theyv'e been standard fit on the front end of most cars for near 20 years! It should be a bar attached to the control arm by a long bolt and some bushings! It should be there!

Definitely the strut mounts, I had the same problem with mine, and new strut mounts fixed it up nicely
