I saw this and it made me laugh! I always find it amusing when car companies try to make something to fit a niche and then overcharge for it!!! There's no need for this kit to be just less than a grand!!!

Mmmm Nice!

What do you think
You get Front and rear bumper covers, sideskirts and mounting hardware!!
This is worth a grand, WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Not to mention the fact that that image has been extensivle retouched and that it looks dog shit in that colour!
EXTREME CLOSE-UP

yeh, i don't care for the color at all. I don't see anything all that special on front/rear covers, though the front does seem to flow well in design to the ride. I do think the sideskirts are cool, I like the cutout in the rear, wonder if it at all functional??? LOL.
Anyhoo, $1K???? I agree, wtf!!!!!!!

I do think the rear spoiler is nice, seems to flow well. Obvious aftermarket, though, right? Kinda misleading???????

i like it, to many body kits try and change the original design of the car. A good body kit will do nothing more than accent the cars look. something that at first you might not notice. It looks sweet IMO. I wonder if i could use the side skirts?

I like it too. It's got a clean look to it. Oh well, beauty is in the eye of the beerholder.

Never said that it was Ugly just that for it to be worth a grand they'd have to tape $800 inside the front bumper cover!

Yes, that's what body kits are meant to do. Change it from it's original look.

I'm hoping that wasn't me included! I only said it looked shit in that coulour I like the kit just no either of the wings, Cav Turbo or Cav Xtreme! not that the kit includes the wing the main point was the vast overpricedness of this kit!

No ricers think a body kit should change it from its original look. And ricers dont know shit about cars or what looks good. Ask any true auto enthusiast and they will tell you the same. If GM thought that way, they would have made that body kit like something stupid like a bomex or drift.

Good point! I like the more aggressive look of the "rice kits" but some are ridiculous, and outrageous in price. Here's what blows my mind, these kits can't cost more than $100-$200 to produce and shiping isn't more than that. Like the cola companies. It cost $1.59 for a cold 22-24oz, yet 89¢ for a warm 2-liter?!??! WTF? There's no way in hell it cost them more to make a 24oz. than a 2-liter, it's just that no one wants to ride with a 2-liter so they charge more. Fcked up world! If I had the money, and the car, I would pay for it, but first I'd try negotiating.

-jayson- from what i can conclude is more of a performance guy/ sleeper person. Very-anti rice but knows his shit. Alot of older people take pride in the work they do to their cars perforance wise because all little kid can throw on a muffler and alteeza's, but its when you add a supercharger thats a few thousands to tune your car intead of a body kit and some messed up airbrush paint job, its more legitment on the cars resale value. So i am with him on alot of things, but i also like those kitted things.

I'm all for sleepers to, but I'd prefer kits on my car personally. Its good that he knows his stuff, but I think everyone knows by now his thoughts on body kits and altezzas.

If you were concerned about resale value, you wouldnt have bought a Cav in the first place. And you think engine work helps value? If anything, from personal experience people shy away from cars with engine work. Not only is it simply buying someone elses project, its not gonna be nearly as reliable.

u have like next to no independance if your proud to be whipped man...
i think a body kit thats moulded to the rest of the car is good because it makes it seem like a whole nother car and then performance mods are always good to prove to that cuy in the camaro next to you that half the motor can go twice as fast sometimes

i dont mind a well made body kit that doesnt try to drastically change the appearance of the car. Body kits just have a bad taste for me cause i always see bad kits, unpainted, and on cars. Some kits do look very nice. I said i like that kit in this thread. And im not all about performance, i will start on the looks of my car once it gets into the 13's. Im not going to be drastic, prolly just a Wings West Lip Kit, tints, wheels and thats prolly it. I just think performance should come before looks.

I agree about performance before looks. I also agree that unpainted body kits on cars is ugly. People can only do what they can afford to do though, which is why I haven't been able to do much to mine y et.

the thing I notice is that when people have body kits around here it's almost expected that they have a good engine to back that up. That's rarely the case though so as long as my engine is mostly stock internals then the bodykit can wait.
