Ok, i really really really want my car running by the day after tomorrow.
And to make this happen, im hoping someone can tell me where i can buy resistors to check the resistor value of my key.
And i dont know if i need 15 of them (one for each value) 390 Ohms, 520 Ohms, 680 Ohms, 885 Ohms, 1.130k, 1.470k, 1.800k 2.370k, 3.010k, 3.740k,4.750k, 6.040k, 7.500k, 9.530k,11.800k.
And if so, how much will they cost?
But again, my main concern is WHERE can i get them????
-Thx

err rather... whre do i connect the resistors to test them.
yea, thats what i meant to say.

Get an ohm meter. Put a lead on each side of the resistor.

Does the resistor go on only one side of the loop on the key?

You need an Ohmmeter to check the resistance of your key.. Put one lead on each side of the chip in your key.. The ohm meter will tell you the resistance of the chip in your key
Go to radio shack, or any electronics department and get a resistor of the same value

you can bye them at radio shack too see what size res you need is to ohm your key on the chip touch the black to one side and the red to the other side and it will give the omhs and that what size resitor yo need

Thanks for the input RCC. However, I'd hope the poster resolved his issue at some point in the past 5 years.
