Geo Metro Upgrades

i have a 93 metro that I would really like to start converting into a perfomance car. I think it has a throtle body fuel injection. I was wondering if it would be better to try to uprade this by converting to a really big carb or to a higher flow fuel injector. Also what all is involed in converting to a carb? Im kinda new to alot of this stuff, but i would really like to learn. Thanks.
