Tamiya VW Golf V6 in progress here. Its painted with the new TS 75 (champagne gold) and is seen here propped up on a couple of sets of wheels which im really undecided on. Its not been cleared or polished yet as it was only painted yesterday. Shitty indoor pics but the next ones will be better.

Set 1 look great. I would go with those. I know what you are syaing about indoor pics. They never do paint jobs justice. Be nice to see that gold paint in natural light..!!

That looks cool Mike. How come you can get all those cool rims. I've seen some on HLJ but they are always out of stock. Those wheels in the first pic look perfect. And the colour is a nice choice too. How are you going to turn it into i VIP BTW?

OMG! now that looks sooo tyte! as for the rims i would go with the third one, it sets the paint off well. funny though, i was fiddling with my tamiya golf last night finding the right wheel combo and have decided on those exact ones too. after this i guess i'll have to look for another rims for mine. :cwm27:

Thanks Matt. A lot of my wheels are from swap deals on the forum, the others from HLJ. I guess the trick is, & im speaking for a lot of other members here, is to order a good few sets at a time from HLJ etc cos they dont last long before being out of stock/production.
And..........yes..............it should end up looking like a VIP !!!

Yepp, its getting lowered a touch & possibly with SAS brakes depending on which rims i use. Muffler........cant be too big if i do anything cos ive already painted the body without cutting away at the back. I might test Tamiyas new "smoke" in the rattle can & tone the rear windows, but we'll see, its just a maybe.....!!!

Set #1 IMO. They suit the Golf very well.
Just a question, why V6 as it's a V5
