Ive been looking at Tsi AWD's and GSX's for awhile now and one of them i guess has this problem. Buyer is saying his girlfriend hit a curb which caused the tire to move back a few inches. Now he says that when taking right turns, the right front tire rubs up against the fender.
Because of this he reduced the price from 5,300 --> 4,400. Its a 95 Tsi AWD, auto tranny with 75k. Im wondering how much and what it would take to fix the problem since im assuming it would need to be fixed right away? below is the link to the buyers ad.

I would have to say that if she hit a curb and "moved" the tire back a few inches.... she did more than just hit a curb!!!!!!!!
I would pass on it or buy it and part it out on dsmtrader or ebay!!! lol

Yeah i suppose that is logical. Ive tried talking to the guy since, asking for pictures of the right side of the car, hasnt returned any e-mails. Sucks too, was one of three AWD dsm's in MN and WI (that fit my budget and what i want).

go check the car out before you make your decision. it could be a number of things, some small, some large. she could have completely bent the whole strut tower (bad bad), she could have bent one of the control arms or steering shaft (pretty easy fixes)the only really bad things she could have done is bent the strut tower or the mounts that are connected to the frame. if it's bad damage like that, i'd stay away. but if it's an easy $100 replacement of a part and you save a couple thousand $$, go for it. but first of all, i would go look at it and check out the problem.
